Hanna-Maria won gold in 100m individual medley in European Champs held in Deprecen, Hungary. It was also a new national record as well as Nordic Country record. Totally Hanna-Maria has now 67 national records under her name. Additionally she was seventh in 100m freestyle yesterday. Hanna-Maria's winning time was 1.00,23 in 100m individual medley. Time in 100m freestyle Finals was 54,06.
Finnish women also swam new Finnish National Record in Women's 4 * 50m Medley Relay. Team was sixth with excellent time 1.51,08. Swimmers in the team:
- Riia-Rosa Koskelainen, 50m backstroke (28,88)
- Katja Lehtonen, 50m breaststroke (30,14)
- Jenni Pienimäki, 50m butterfly (27,11)
- Hanna-Maria Seppälä, 50m freestyle (24,30)

Finland's Independence day is 6th of December. The President of Finland, Tarja Halonen, arranges Independence celebration party and invites Hanna-Maria to the President's Castle.
This is the second time Hanna-Maria celebrates Independence party at the Castle of Finland President. Previously she took part after achieved World Championship in 100m freestyle in Barcelona in the year 2003. Her gala dress year 2003 was slim black combined with violet scarf as shown in the picture. This year the dress is going to be lighter and even more representative and elegant than before.

Hanna-Maria swam gold in 100m individual medley and silver in 100m freestyle in Sydney, Australia. Short course swimming World Cup Sydney was arranged between 2nd and 3rd of November and many other world top swimmers took part in the race. Hanna-Maria's winning time in individual medley was 1.00,73 and in 100m freestyle 53,78. Additional she made personal best in 50m backstroke.

Hanna-Maria Seppälä achieved to the finals in Sydney World Cup, Australia. She was fifth in 200m freestyle with excellent time 1.57,27, which is less than 0,4 seconds of her personal best. She also swam her new personal best of 28,71 in 50m backstroke.

Hanna-Maria has become ill and thus will not take part in Finish National Championships arranged 5.-7.7.2007 in Jyväskylä, Finland. Hanna-Maria is disappointed catching ill right before the Nationals. "National Champs is an important competition towards the main race this year. In the Nationals I would have had best competitors helping me to improve my performance on my main events. Too bad, but now I just need to rest, recover and prepare myself towards the main race by the end of the year ".
This Fall main race is European Short Course Swimming Championships in Debrece, Hungary. EC will be arranged in 13th-16th of December. Hanna-Maria's goal is to get medal in the European Championships this year.

Hanna-Maria has achieved A-level qualification to the Olympics in Beijing after she swam 100m freestyle 54,97 in Canet, France. A-level qualification for 100m freestyle in Beijing Olympics is 55,24 and B-level 57,17. Hanna-Maria already was qualified with B-level in 100m freestyle and holds also B-level qualifications in 200m and 50m freestyle. Two A-level and one B-level swimmers will be qualified to the Olympics in each event from Finland.
100m freestyle (54,97) she swam in France is also her best time for four years. Hard and well planned training obviously brings now results and improvements. Hanna-Maria's goal is to get Olympic medal in Beijing 2008.

Hanna-Maria got into semi-finals twice in high level Melbourne World Championships in Australia. The race atmosphere was great and Hanna-Maria showed her strong performance in the competition. Her position was 12th in 100m freestyle and 13th in 50m freestyle.
Hanna-Maria participated in three different events in the World Championships. Below are all her positions and times assorted by events:
- 50m freestyle, 13th with time 25,47
- 100m freestyle, 12th with time 55,31
- 200m freestyle, 34th with time 2.02,81

Hanna-Maria's brand new web site has been opened today. It is now more convenient for the site visitors and promotes sponsors better than before. New www.hanna-maria.com is simple to navigate and has very impressive and professional layout. The layout of the site has been designed and done by Foral Design Oy.
Additionally the tool for web administration has been updated, which makes site easy to update. This makes it possible to provide more frequently and even more "up to date" information for the site visitors.

Hanna-Maria participates in the World Championships in Melbourne, Australia (March 25 - April 1). Hanna-Maria's goal is to get medal in her main event, 100m freestyle.
She will swim following events in the competition:
- 200m freestyle (heat + semifinals 27.3. and final 28.3.)
- 100m freestyle (heat + semifinals 29.3. and final 30.3.)
- 50m freestyle (heat + semifinals 31.4. and final 1.4.)
Swimming World Championships will be presented also on TV on the finnish chanel YLE TV2 and EUROSPORT. Find more information about the presentation times on TV and the competition:

Hanna-Maria swam today a new national record in 200m freestyle with time 2.01,54 in Finnish National Championships (1.3 - 4.3.2007). The race took place in Espoolahti, Finland. The previous record was also made by Hanna-Maria and she improved it by 0,10 seconds.
Hanna-Maria has now alltogether 86 National Championships and 66 National records. Additionally, she swam personal best in 400m freestyle today with a good time 4.23,33.

Hanna-Maria takes part in long course 50m Finnish National Championships this weekend (March 1.- 4.). Race is arranged in city of Espoo, Finland. Hanna-Maria's goal is to get as many Finish Championships as possible.
Hanna-Maria will swim following five events according to the plans:
- 50m freestyle
- 100m freestyle
- 200m freestyle
- 400m freestyle
- 100m backstroke

Popularity of Hanna-Maria's web site has been remarkable. The number of site visitors grew more than expected last year - especially in the end of the year. The web site will be renewed completely and published estimated ín the end of march. The purpose is to make site substance and layout more professional. Additionally it will better meet the needs of the fans, sponsors and media.
Database service and the platform of the web site was not scaled for the popularity (number of visitors) that there is currently. Due to the scaling problems the usability of the web page has not been best possible. Database service and platform has now been upgraded to more powerful solution. This secures the usability and availability equally for all visitors in the future.
Renewal of the web site is done by Foral Design Oy.
